A. SCOTT CRAWFORD

Mr. Crawford is the president and founder of The A. Scott Foundation.  
Mr. Crawford's background includes success in the film and television
industries, and experience in private equity investing and complex
systems analysis.


TEYEN KUNG

Teyen Kung is the Senior Program Director at The A. Scott Foundation
for all of its projects andprograms in China.

Previously, he was the design chief engineer for Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Company, one of the largest and most
acclaimed engineering and design firms in China.  He also taught
as a professor at Tongji University (同济大学), in Shanghai, China.



HENRY H. LIN


Henry Lin is a Program Director, and works with Teyen Kung on The A.
Scott Foundation's projects and programs in China.  He also serves as the Treasurer for the Foundation.

Mr. Lin's background includes the telecommunications and management consulting industries, where he worked for AT&T, Teleport Communications Group, AT Kearney, and MarketBridge in product marketing and business consulting.

Mr. Lin holds an Economics degree from Duke University and a MBA degree
from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

MARCUS SCHWIMMER

jMarcus Schwimmer is a Digital Media Specialist at the A. Scott
Foundation. He is in charge of maintaining the foundation’s website
and introducing new aspects of social media to the Foundation’s
partner projects. He will also be working with video content taken
during the Foundation’s many programs and will be involved with
the marketing and public relations aspect of the Foundation.

Marcus earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from Adrian College, focusing
his studies in History, Philosophy, and Gender Studies. During that
time he also studied Shakespearian literature at Oxford University,
New College. He is currently attending Eastern Michigan University’s
Historic Preservation Department in pursuit of a Master of Science
degree.

PAUL SCHWIMMER

jPaul Schwimmer is a Program Director for the A. Scott Foundation’s
Military MIA Recovery Program. Serving as Special Forces Team
Member during his military service, Paul brings to the Foundation his empathy and enthusiasm for finding lost service members. A land
surveyor for over 40 years, his expertise in mapping and side
scanning sonar has played a major role in locating many of the found aircraft.

After joining the Bent Prop Organization and doing a number of
missions on the island nation of The Republic of Palau, Paul was asked
by the organization History Flight to bring his skill set to Europe. He
spends over a month every year looking for unmarked gravesites
internationally. He also lead a mapping project in which downed Korean
War aircraft in present-day North Korea can be located using Google
Earth technology so that relatives can see where deceased loved ones
were laid to rest.

AL ALSAIDYj

Al Alsaidy is the Program Director of the A. Scott Foundation College Preparatory Program. One of Mr. Alsaidy’s passions is the empowerment
of youth into community leaders; through the generosity of Alexander
Scott Crawford and the A. Scott Foundation, he aims to provide opportunities to gifted students that otherwise might never realize their immense potential.

Mr. Alsaidy is the second director of the ASF College Prep Program.
Following in the path set by MAK Azad, Mr. Alsaidy has worked his
program towards meeting the vision set forth by he and Mr. Azad,
to provide a better future for inner-city youth via educational
empowerment.

Mr. Alsaidy is currently attending the University of Michigan, working
on a dual degree in Industrial/Operations Engineering and Civil Engineering.

Past Staff Members

M. ABUL KALAM AZAD

M. Abul Kalam Azad is a Program Director at The A. Scott Foundation
for all of its projects and programs in Bangladesh and Detroit. He also
serves as the Secretary for the foundation.

Mr. Azad started his career as a researcher at one of Bangladesh’s
leading research institutes, Human Development Research Center.
Later in his career he served as the Country Director of Michigan
International Development- Bangladesh, Visiting Scholar at the Center
for International Business Education of the University of Michigan (UM) Business School, Consultant for UM President’s Advisory Committee on
Labor Standards and Human Rights, and Advisor for UM School of Social
Work’s Alliance to End Violence in Asian/Asian American Communities.
He published a journal article and a research report. His article was
published in the Journal of Asian Business and research report was
published by the CIBE.

Mr. Azad has distinct and vast experience in designing and managing
human development projects. He has developed academic and field expertise
in a variety of fields, including youth leadership development, community
outreach and organizing, partnership development, volunteer recruiting and
management, healthcare management and policy, labor rights, economic
development and women’s empowerment.

Mr. Azad holds a Master Degree in Development Studies from North South
University, Bangladesh and a second Master Degree in English Literature from
Aligarh University, India.

NARDOS GEBEHEYU

Nardos Gebeheyu is involved in the Ethiopia TAP Program as a Program Coordinator and fundraiser. He has been integral in the initial design and launch of the program.

Mr. Gebeheyhu has extensive experience with project management and nonprofit ventures throughout Africa and South Asia.  In addition, Mr. Gebeheyu is the founder of Cronyan Global Solutions, a global provider of intelligent telecommunications services to private and public institutions.

He has an Industrial & Operations Engineering degree from the University
of Michigan, and is completing the MBA program at the New York University
Stern School of Business

JEAN-LUC DESCHAINE

Jean-Luc Deschaine is a Project Manager for The A. Scott Foundation's community outreach project in France. He is currently designing and
leading a project where he will work with disadvantaged youths from
low-income immigrant families.

He is a recent graduate of University of Michigan, with a BA in the
History of Art.
