CHINA: Aid for Orphaned Seniors
Many Chinese seniors have adult children who leave their homes in the rural countryside for work in large cities and urban areas. Seniors become "orphaned" when their adult children, intentionally or not, no longer support them.
A Scott Foundation has supported orphaned seniors in the city of MuXiao with clothing and monetary donations.
